AixBOMS.User.Basics
Brief description: General introduction to AixBOMS
Target group: AixBOMS users and AixBOMS administrators
Prerequisite: Basics of data processing, basic knowledge in using a browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer)
Course length: 1 day
Aim: The participant understands the philosophy of AixBOMS. He knows the various input and output possibilities with the AixBOMS web masks and client applications, and can carry out general work/processes on his own. This course is prerequisite for the module-specific user courses.

Brief description: Introduction to configuration management with AixBOMS
Target group: AixBOMS users and AixBOMS administrators
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge in using AixBOMS (AixBOMS.User.Basics)
Course length: 1 day
Aim: The participant understands the philosophy of Configuration Management (see also ITIL) and its depiction in AixBOMS. He can carry out configuration management work processes on his own.

Aim: The participant understands the philosophy of cable management (see also ITIL) and how it is depicted in AixBOMS. He can carry out cable management work/processes on his own.

Brief description: Operation of AixBOMS
Target group: AixBOMS project engineers and operators of the AixBOMS application server
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge in using AixBOMS (AixBOMS.User.Basics)
Course length: 2 days
Aim: The participant knows all functions and tasks necessary for operating AixBOMS. He can react to the various operational situations and administer users and user profiles
Brief description: Administration of the AixBOMS interface and menus
Target group: AixBOMS project engineers and AixBOMS administrators
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge in using AixBOMS (AixBOMS.User.Basics)
Course length: 3 days
Aim: The participant can carry out simple changes of repository objects with the AixBOMS Development Suite. The user knows the architecture elements necessary for development and customizing. He understands the relationships between the architecture elements.
Aim: The participant can proceed with complex changes and generation of new repository objects with the AixBOMS Development Suite. He is capable of adapting AixBOMS to the specific requirements of his company.
